There is no officially supported upgrade path for Slackware ARM 14.1 to 14.2. This is because there have been invasive changes in the kernels and boot loaders, which would necessitate more testing and documentation than there is available time for. Therefore the method to upgrade from Slackware ARM 14.1 to 14.2 is to begin a fresh installation. Please follow the installation documents for the officially supported platforms, and ensure that you upgrade the version of U-Boot and adjust the U-Boot configurations as necessary. If you are running a community supported device, please check their documentation as they may have a documented upgrade path. -- Stuart Winter June 2016
